Motoring with Mohammed

In addition to Infinite Jest*, I am currently reading Motoring with Mohammed by Eric Hansen ... I am not too far, but my book group met earlier this week to discuss it, and it sounds like I am in for a lot of laughs and entertaining characters.

I've also heard many good things about another book of his, Strangers in the Forest - I have a copy I got from my Grandparents house, and I look forward to reading it. He has a unique outlook on all the experiences he has while traveling around the world. It's refreshing to read in light of other travelogues that I did not feel the same about ...

Travelogues and memoirs are really one of my favorite genres, but it sure does give me wander lust ...

*I've made it to about page 280 of Infinite Jest, which is about where I've stopped before. I am completely hooked, totally obsessed with it, and I think about it constantly! If only there were more hours in the day ... Infinite Summer and all the other blogs I am following who are also reading it have made this SO much easier, and I am adoring it!
