Ginkgo Onesies

I silk screened these last weekend ... they didn't turn out quite how I had envisioned them, but I think they're pretty great anyhow. I made one for my cousin, who has a brand new baby girl (and who hopefully isn't reading this before she receives it!) and one for a baby shower I am attending this weekend. And two more ... for the future.

They're printed on organic cotton onesies - I wanted them to be a darkish green, but the ink I had dictated how they turned out - it's a silver, purpley-blue.

oooooh, this is what you were silkscreening! pretty awesome! and I noticed you bought the false knit scarf from plainMADE studio on Alyson's blog (not stalking you; just clicked on your name and realized it was you)...I am TOTALLY enamored with their stuff now! I really want that hood she bought...might have to do the same, after looking at my tab tomorrow...

ha ha, I am not creeped out :) That scarf was something that I saw and immediately thought "must have" ... you know how it goes. So beautiful!

The hood is so gorgeous, I want to make one now! Have you looked through the plainMADE blog? All the stuff she's silk screened is sooo pretty and inspirational!

oooh, I have not...I looked at it for a bit, but haven't made my way too far back into it...haha and I know how it is abt the "must haves"...that's pretty much my whole wardrobe...I can't think logically and just say no...and I made out pretty well today (after I get back to DC, I'm going to post the steals), but I think there's enough room left in there for that hood! again, if only I could knit myself...OH WELL!

Oooh can't wait to see what you got! At least if you end up with things you're in love with ... hopefully.

I can't knit for the life of me, I want to try and learn but my fingers always get in the way. I can crochet though!

I scored a major deal, and finally now own a piece of Wren clothing...and it's the perfect holiday dress, which is what I was searching for! but on another note, some old ladies at a rec center taught me how to knit, but I got about 3 inches into my scarf and didn't want to deal with it any longer...I prefer smaller needles and hand sewing...and crocheting just seemed even more complicated...I tell you, my fingers and lack of motor skills are killing me!

yeah, is hand-eye coordination something that can be learned? I really need more if it ....

Love 'em! I think it's a fantastic idea. It always seems like baby clothes are so over-the-top cutesy... but these are cute in a non-over-the-top way :)

thank you! I love the simplicity of them as well. At the baby shower last weekend, I was wondering what people buy for a baby whose gender is unknown. This was for a baby girl, and everything was pink and purple - I wonder how much gender neutral baby clothing is out there?
