After the Central Market we walked over to Parliament - we didn't go on the tour but walked around it, and visited the Holocaust memorial on the edge of the Danube River. The memorial is a few dozen pairs of shoes along the edge of the river, in memory of victims shot into the Danube River in 1944-45. This was a very moving memorial, and many of the shoes were adorned with flowers, which was very sweet.

Saturday, November 8th, Budapest
Saturday morning we decided to go back to the Central Market, to get a few more souvenirs. There were certainly more people there than the first time, and I love watching people pick out their produce and wheel around their adorable shopping bags on wheels. I want one!

That afternoon we walked around Andrassay Street again, and came upon Franz Liszt Square.

That night we went to a concert at Saint Stephen's Basilica - another beautiful church. My dad walked around it during daylight, so I will post photos from him at some point.
