The Garden

These photos are so long over due - but this year we put in a small garden bed, with four tomatoes, some herbs, peppers, cucumbers, soy beans, and basil. When we started the garden, there was a good amount of sun - but a few weeks later our neighbors cut down five giant cedars in their backyard, so we ended up with a lot more sun. Our tomatoes went crazy, and we had more volunteer squash and pumpkin plants than I could count. One plant is at least thirty feet wide, and it's growing pumpkins in one of our trees.

We learned some lessons, and have lots of ideas for next year. And for now, we have a whole lot of pumpkins ...
