Monday, November 3rd, Prague
Monday morning we walked across the Charles Bridge and went first to the Kafka Museum. More than a museum, it was an art project about the life of Kafka in Prague, with some pretty amazing installations. The museum, and being in Prague in general, made me eager to read and re-read all his work.

Crossing the bridge again gave me another chance to take more photos of the statues, and the views from the bridge.

After the Kafka Museum we walked up towards the Prague Castle.

The view across the river before we entered the castle was beautiful, even with the overcast skies.

Once inside the castle, we first went to the Vladislav Hall, and then the St. Vitus Cathedral. The Cathedral was massive, with so many amazing huge stained glass pieces, including one by Mucha.

After this we walked to Golden Lane, which is a small lane of brightly colored houses within the Palace grounds. At one point Kafka lived here with his sister, in Number 22. Now all the houses contain shops selling books, antiques, and locally made goods.

When we got out and started heading back across the river, the sun had come out and the view was gorgeous.

Once we got back across the river, we headed back to Old Town Square and went to the Dali exhibit. It was not much of an exhibit, really, but they did have many of the prints in the Divine Comedy series, a few of which my Grandfather bought many years ago. It was really cool to see them in context, but otherwise the show wasn't much of a show.
