Tuesday morning we woke up and took a taxi to the bus station, where we took a bus about an hour outside or Prague, to
Terezin. Terezin was a ghetto that was used as a work camp during the 1940s. It was not an extermination camp, but thousands of people died there from malnutrition and disease, and the conditions of living there.
It was pretty emotionally walking around there, seeing the artifacts they still had, and knowing what had taken place there. I don't think I could handle going to a camp that was used as an extermination camp.
I didn't take any photos at Terezin, but we spent the morning walking around and looking at the exhibits there. We took another bus back to Prague in the early afternoon.
Back in Prague we walked around markets, found the Tesco which was really overwhelming, and then went to see the
Dancing House.
The Dancing House, otherwise known as
Fred and Ginger, after Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, was built by Frank Gehry in the 90s. It's a pretty cool looking building, but definitely does not fit in with the architecture of Prague.

We walked back to Old Town Square and climbed up the Astronomical Clock tower - my dad had the day before and he recommended that we see the view from up there. It was pretty dark by the time we got up there, so I didn't get any good photos, but I bet that my dad did. My flash makes it look like the city is on fire.

We went to bed that night optimistic that we'd wake up in the morning to hear that Obama was elected President. Yay!
